Jammin' For Johnson
Cambridge Elks Lodge Ballroom
A jazz jam in memory of the late "Bunk" Johnson. Featuring Dave Powers on keyboard and vocals and a host of local musicians. The most popular musical event in Cambridge! Event times are from 8:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. Cost is a $5.00 donation. Participate in our cash bar and 50/50 drawing. Wine Lovers the Musical
Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center, Cambridge
Wine Lovers tells the story of a comedic yet charming actor, Brian Scott, and an know-it-all business women, Katherine Reese. The show also includes two students attending a wine class led by Charles Thompson, whose goal in life is to impart the pleasures of selecting and drinking wine. Throughout the show the actors and you the audience will learn about reds, whites, screw caps, Zinfandels and a little about love. We Go Everywhere Together

Watching 34 West Theater Company’s original play “We Go Everywhere Together,” about two old men and their “bucket of fish,” I was reminded of the Pixar movie “Up.” Both pieces of beautiful art are about octogenarians getting one more kick at life, showing that living la dolce vita is not only for those who are young. The good life is ageless.  Stephen W. Baldwin and Jeffery D. Querin play George and Henry respectively. They also wrote the play and are the creative and artistic directors of 34 West Theater. Stand By Your Man: The Tammy Wynette Story

From the cotton fields of Itawamba, Mississippi, to international superstar! Tammy Wynette , woman behind the legend, will take the audience through her journey of triumphs and tragedies including Tammy’s relationships with the five husbands she stood by. Outdoor Adventure Weekend
Salt Fork Lodge
Bring your family to Salt Fork Lodge for a weekend of fun and games! We will have many different outdoor activities for all ages to enjoy: guided hikes, geocaching for beginners, a series of fun tournaments including basketball, volleyball and shuffleboard , bike rentals (or bring your own), relay races, sack races, a scavenger hunt and more! Grab your entire family, come to Salt Fork, and get your “game on”! In the event of rain, our staff will plan many fun indoor activities.

Spring Gospel Jubilee

Salt Fork State Park Lodge is the site for another outstanding Gospel Jubilee. Once again the weekend will be filled with musical inspiration and harmony. For additional information on this event, visit gospel jubilee.

April 28

Annual Spring Fling Saturday
Deerassic Park Education Center, Cambridge
Gates will open at 12:00 p.m, and the festival will run until 4:00 p.m. All ages are welcome. Local nursery and garden centers will have displays and will sell plants and flowers. The afternoon’s events will include outdoor programming for families, youth games/activities, seed planting, make-it take-it crafts, a visit to the live deer herd to learn about the whitetail deer and the history of the whitetail in Ohio, and kite flying (weather permitting.) Catfish Chris will amaze the attendees with his “Catch-of-the-Day,” and South East Ohio Solid Waste Management District will offer a recycling presentation. A remote recycling station will be available for drop off of recyclables. Mike Coulter will have his food wagon, with proceeds supporting Soldier’s Angels. Guernsey County Farmers Market
Courthouse Square, Cambridge
Over two dozen vendors selling quality produce, baked goods, meats, eggs, and cheese. Offering handmade crafters who sell candles, jewelry, metal works and sewing items. Hopalong Cassidy Festival
Cambridge City Park/Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center, Cambridge
Fans of Hopalong Cassidy will meet for the 22snd year in Cambridge for several events taking place during the weekend. The Hopalong Cassidy Museum will be open throughout the weekend. Friday and Saturday night dinners are open to the public. Tickets for the Friday dinner, which begins at 6:00 p.m. are $20.00 and the Saturday dinner, which begins at 6:30 p.m. are $25.00. Creature Weekend 2012
Attend Salt Fork's First Annual Cryptozoology Conference. Our lineup of Speakers will give presentations on the latest research involving Bigfoot and other creatures that go bump in the night. Details will be posted as they become available so keep checking back!

Buckeye Buster 50k
Salt Fork State Park
From 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., join us for our annual 50 K relay/run. Quick breakfast items and snacks will be available at the lodge as well as lunch. The race director will be handing out race shirts to all runners as well as race numbers and beverages. Please contact the race director at one world trail running to sign up. See you on the trail!

Madcap Productions / When You Wish Upon a Fish

The famous Grimm brothers take the stage in one of the most popular Madcap shows of all time!! The brothers have three completely different versions of The Fisherman and His Wife and can’t decide which fishy fairy tale to choose for their book. Kicking Bear One-On-One
Deerassic Park Education Center, Cambridge
In association with Ray Howell's National Mentoring program, attendees will participate in a 3-D archery course. Participants will be given instruction from World class archery professionals stressing safety and various aspects of this growing outdoor sport with the opportunity to win fantastic prizes. This event is free, however, pre-registration is required. Registration will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. There will be a dinner Friday and breakfast and lunch on Saturday. National Cambridge Glass Collectors Show & Sale

One of the nicest and most elegant glass shows in the area. Show features Cambridge and other fine glassware, including Heisey, Imperial, Fenton, Duncan, Tiffin, and others. Friday 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. $5.00 admission good for both days. Free parking. September 8 – 9
3rd Annual Appalachian Festival
Salt Fork Lodge
Bring your guitar and join us as we celebrate our heritage with traditional live music, food and dance at Salt Fork Lodge. We kick off this year’s event with some good old fashioned bluegrass music on Saturday afternoon, plenty of food and fellowship and end the evening with jam sessions around the lodge. With several local vendors and activities for the entire family, there is something for everyone to do. Hot coffee and some bluegrass gospel music will revive you Sunday morning as ham gravy, biscuits and fried potatoes are served in keeping with the tradition. Soup beans, corn bread, fresh baked pies and more will be served during the event so come hungry! A schedule of bands will be listed closer to event time so keep checking for your favorites! See you at the festival!

Bring the family and enjoy wool spinners, a petting zoo, crafts, hikes, outdoor games, pumpkin and pumpkin cookie decorating, scarecrow making, a homemade ice cream wagon, festive treats and storytelling around the evening bonfire.

Halloween in the Park

Join us for a fun-filled day and night. Starting at 1:00 p.m. your family will enjoy making crafts during our expansive Halloween themed crafts. Partake in pumpkin decorating, cookie decorating and a coloring contest. On Saturday evening, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. bring your goblins to the cabins where local businesses will pass out treats. Enjoy a hay wagon ride and then round out the evening by participating in our costume contest and party for kids of all ages. Late night scary movies will also be available in a theater setting. So bring the entire family…if you dare!

New Year's Eve
Our special New Year’s Eve package includes two nights of accommodations in a lodge room, New Year's Eve buffet dinner for two (special kids prices ages 4-10. Kids under 4 eat free), and breakfast for two (special kids buffet prices at $6.95 ages 4-10. Kids under 4 eat free).
Enjoy Friday evenings events including Karaoke in the Wildlife Lounge from 9:00 p.m. -12:00 a.m., or family movies shown from 6:30 p.m. -11:00 p.m. On Saturday we will offer activities for the kids from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. From 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. we will host a family version of Minute to Win It competition in the Ballroom followed by a family party with a DJ from 10:00 p.m.- 12:00 a.m. The Wildlife Lounge will once again feature a DJ to ring in the New Year... Package rate does not include tax.
