OHIO'S SALT FORK STATE PARK RESORT ANNOUNCES CELEBRATION OF ART WEEKEND MAY 29-30

CAMBRIDGE, Ohio, May 5, 2009 – Salt Fork State Park Resort will host an art exhibit called “Celebration of Art” May 29 and 30. The exhibit is a partnership with the Eastern Ohio Art Guild & Art Center in Cambridge.
More than 25 artists from throughout the region will display work including wool needle felting, sculptural fiber arts, water media paintings, air-dried clay tiles, color pencil drawings, Japanese origami, pastel paintings and more.
In addition, the artists will be presenting free workshops Friday evening and throughout the day on Saturday. There will also be musical entertainment including a bluegrass band Friday night beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday and participatory drum circles at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The Eastern Ohio Art Guild/Art Center in Cambridge is dedicated to supporting continuing art education. In addition to operating the Art Center, where member artists can exhibit and sell their work, the organization sponsors an annual art show, provides scholarships and coordinates a variety of events and programs designed to encourage community involvement and interaction with the arts.
