Special Rates, Promotions & PackagesSalt Fork Resort offers an array of packages year-round. All packages unless otherwise noted are based on double occupancy in a standard double room. Children under 17 stay free in the room with the parents. Additional adult rates are available. Packages are based on availability and may not be valid on holidays. Packages are not available on groups of 5 or more rooms or cottages. Additional meals and events can be purchased for additional family members - ask for details. Package rates do not include taxes. Appalachian Festival Special RateAttend the Appalachian Festival and receive a great rate. The festival events include 14 live stage performances over the two-day event (September 11-12, 2010) plus outdoor blue grass jam sessions. Featured performers included Timberline, Wills Creek, Lonesome Heart, Deep Water, The Red Barn Cloggers, For His Glory, and Bluegrass Express. A special outdoor grill menu will be available offering burgers, hotdogs, chicken and a hog roast. Special activities for the entire family include hayrides, basket makers, local artists, Ohio Hills Spinners and Weavers demonstrations, old time musical instrument displays and demonstrations, farmer's market and quilt display and sale. From 8:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. guests will enjoy fun autumn activities including apple butter stirrin, kettle corn over an open fire, Amish basket weaving, wood carving, expert weavers, along with pumpkin and pumpkin cookie decorating. Additional activities include carriage rides, an original covered wagon display, a country dress contest, a pie baking contest and an early evening bonfire with one of our local storytellers. Magician Mark Woods will also be on hand for a series of performances. Salt Fork's Ballroom will be the site of local quilters demonstrating their work. Throughout the day our Activity staff will be entertaining families and our naturalist will join guests as they explore the park. An outdoor food court will open that day serving burgers, dogs, sno cones, cotton candy and other fall favorite foods and beverages.
